We are seeking a highly motivated Apprentice / Distribution Assistant to support the theatrical rollout of Palestine Comedy Club. Working closely with the distribution and marketing teams, the successful candidate will assist in coordinating release logistics, exhibitor communications, grassroots outreach, and campaign reporting during a pivotal independent release.
This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career candidate looking to gain hands-on experience in UK film distribution, with direct exposure to booking strategy, publicity coordination, and audience engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day distribution operations for the theatrical release
Assist with exhibitor communications, bookings, and screening logistics
Coordinate delivery of DCPs, marketing materials, and press assets
Track box office reporting and compile performance summaries
Maintain outreach databases (cinemas, community groups, partners, press)
Support event screenings, Q&As, and special preview screenings
Assist with grassroots and community engagement initiatives
Monitor social media activity and audience response
Provide general administrative support to the distribution team
Person Specification
Strong interest in independent cinema and theatrical distribution
Basic video recording and editing skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Google Workspace and Canva. Premiere Pro is a bonus
Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure
Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
Previous internship or work experience in film, festivals, or arts organisations is desirable but not essential
